Zero Dermatology Clinic

I got hair removal on my girlfriend’s recommendation. They applied numbing cream, so it wasn’t painful at all. The clinic was clean, and the doctor finished the procedure quickly, which I really appreciated.

This was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I’ve had at a dermatology/aesthetic clinic due to serious privacy concerns and lack of basic professionalism. Before changing clothes for an arm treatment, I explicitly asked the nurse whether I should change in that treatment room and whether there was any CCTV camera inside. The nurse clearly confirmed that there was no camera in the room. However, after I changed clothes, I noticed a CCTV camera facing my direction with the power light on. I was standing in the center of its view. When I asked the nurse to confirm, her explanation kept changing: first she said it was off, then she claimed it was a blind spot and could not capture me, and then she said she had no permission to check and needed to ask the front desk or someone with higher authority. This made me feel extremely unsafe and disrespected. It took more than 30 minutes before a manager came to apologize, and only after the situation escalated. The clinic did not provide a clear explanation of why this happened. Throughout the discussion, they offered no compensation, no discount, and no meaningful remedy—only repeated apologies and vague statements like “staff training issues.” The apology felt insincere and dismissive. Regarding the CCTV footage, I was initially told that a third-party security company would come and delete the footage in front of me, but no one came. Later I was told it would be deleted remotely. The only thing I was shown was that the live feed for that room was turned off/blocked. I was not able to witness or verify the actual deletion process. I requested an official written confirmation (stamped by the clinic) regarding the deletion, and I received it, but the entire process lacked transparency. In addition, I had already completed a whitening/light treatment at the clinic that day. Due to the staff’s cold and dismissive attitude, I was given zero post-treatment care instructions or guidance before leaving (no precautions, no aftercare advice), which is extremely unprofessional for a dermatology/aesthetic clinic. The overall attitude from staff, including the Chinese interpreter, was also unprofessional. I was even told not to post anything online after receiving the stamped confirmation document, which was unacceptable. This experience seriously affected my trust in the clinic’s privacy protection and professionalism. I do not recommend this clinic, especially for female clients who value privacy and safety.

I visited this clinic while traveling in Korea because I really wanted to try Ultherapy in a country known for advanced aesthetic treatments. I was a bit worried about the language barrier, but the doctor spoke excellent English, and the clinic also provided an interpreter, which made me feel very comfortable. Everything was explained clearly, and the treatment itself felt safe and professional. I’m really glad I chose to do this treatment in Korea, and I had a great overall experience.
