About KANBI
KANBI organises public reviews of Korean aesthetic clinics for Japanese, Chinese, and English speakers weighing a procedure abroad. We do not broker bookings or referrals.

Why this exists
The hardest part of researching a Korean clinic from abroad is that advertising and lived experience look identical. What surfaces in search is sponsored content plus local reviews nobody has translated. The bigger the language barrier, the more the decision drifts toward reputation and social-media impressions.
KANBI collects reviews people actually wrote and organises, across languages, what comes up repeatedly. It is not built to amplify praise — it is built to surface the things worth asking about beforehand.
Who edits the site
The KANBI editorial team manages data collection, summaries, and corrections. Editorial responsibility sits with Yuna Kim, Editorial Lead.
The team does not claim physician credentials and does not assess medical suitability or prescribe treatment. Editorial review checks public-information and review provenance, recurring patterns, and the limits shown to readers.
What we do
Three things.
- Collect review bodies per clinic from public platforms such as Google Maps
- Analyse those bodies and summarise the recurring strengths, cautions, and risk signals in four languages
- Show the underlying reviews verbatim, with author name and date, alongside the summary
What we do not do
These are explicitly out of scope.
- No appointment booking, consultation brokering, or interpreter arrangement
- No listing fees or referral commissions from clinics, and no ranking positions for sale
- No comparative or absolute medical claims — "best in Korea", "guaranteed results" — in line with Korean medical advertising law
- No medical advice or diagnosis. Decide with a licensed physician
How the site is funded
Running costs are covered by advertising and travel affiliate placements (Trip.com). Both are labelled as commercial, and neither influences a clinic’s analysis score, ranking, or review summary. Rankings are derived from aggregated public reviews and nothing else.
Corrections
If something we publish is factually wrong, we will correct it — whether the request comes from a clinic or a reader. Write to kanbikorea@gmail.com. How we gather data and what we do with it is documented in our source policy.
